Are you keen cleaning and flossing your teeth daily as your Epping Dentist recommends – but find that your teeth are so jam-packed that flossing between them is very, very difficult to do? Perhaps, it is just about impossible to slip the flossing thread down between your teeth, so you can’t floss between them? Or maybe, the thread keeps on snapping under the pressure of the narrow spaces it has to work in?
Whatever it is, you can’t floss properly and are worried about all the muck that you can’t get rid of. You want optimal oral hygiene to preserve your teeth into old age, and avoid severe oral health problems. And in general, you don’t want the rest of your health and your heart’s health, in particular, to be compromised by any oral disease.
So, what can you do?
Well, at Rawson Dental, your Epping Dentist has a terrific solution for you. We can help you move your teeth so that your overcrowding problem is solved – and solved just about invisibly and painlessly with a modern product called Invisalign. If you have overcrowded teeth, some of them likely grew crookedly so they could fit in. The Invisalign therapy will straighten those teeth, too.
What happens is that we will take impressions of your teeth and your bite, and photograph your teeth. With the aid of a computer programme, we will work out where each tooth should be, so they are correctly spaced and straight. Then a set of clear plastic aligners are custom-made for you to wear over a few months. After wearing an aligner for two weeks, your teeth will have moved sufficiently, so it is time to wear the next in the series to move your teeth that next little bit.
You will find the aligners are comfortable to wear. They don’t have any bits that can irritate the skin inside your mouth, and they can be easily removed for eating and teeth cleaning – and for special occasions when you want to look your absolute best.
Before your start, you can view the final result on our computer, as well as the series of tiny movements that your teeth will undergo with the Invisalign programme! And the best thing is that you will end up with properly spaced, aligned teeth that you can floss between easily to maximise your oral health well into the future.
